The Penis

The penis is the male sexual organ. It also serves as the organ in which the urethra (the tube through which you pass urine) is sited.

There are three tubes within the penis:

  • Two corpora – these are the spongy tubes that become engorged with blood, and allow men to achieve an erection

  • Urethra – the tube at the bottom of the penis through which urine passes from the bladder when a man urinates
